NET [Never Ending Tragedy]

Rs 50 per hour. This is how much we pay for net in Pilani.

Guyz, do not get nonplussed....I’m creating this post in 2006.

I don’t complain. This is a pithecanthropus community. Primary requirement here is development.

BITS came up with a new project,’ The BITS connect'. It all happened in my second semester. BITS had to pay lacs as yearly rental for the cables laid from Delhi to Pilani.

We all waited for our comps to get CONNECTED. It was like a dream.

The very thought of data packets coming out of the (dummy) white boxes fixed to the walls in our rooms made us shiver. “We are all going to have net for 24 hrs”, this was a phrase repeatedly uttered by all the 12 sapheads of every wing. Finally the day came when we were to get registered for the net in rooms. I was one among the first who got registered. It was 5 in the evening when we finally had net in our rooms. I first logged into my yahoo messenger to boast about our net to my friends. The net was decently fast. The first week saw a series of attacks to spare no comp. VIRUSES- of all kinds a sizes.

It left no comp virgin. We managed to find some antidotes in the net itself. Our comps reverted back to their healthy state. We made cent percent use of the net.

Everything went well till fourth semester, until one day the net was gone. We didn’t have net for more than a week. We were told that the net got jammed b’coz of the over traffic.

“Then started TROUBLE”. Though there was net, it never exceeded 1kbps. We decide to report to the in charge. We saw him squirm. It was probably b’coz of the repeated complaints. He said he needed some new cache engines to increase the speed. I do not know how many engines have been dumped in the server but the screwed up net got worse. The same situation prevails. It’s impossible to prognosticate when the net would get bollixed. I often feel like burning my LAN chord. Some times the whole comp gets loused up along with the net from which extrication becomes difficult. The net we have now is just ‘naamkevasthe’. Hoping for this net to meliorate……….

An earnest request to the tagged!!!

This is the new e-game that has been doing the rounds!! And I fell prey to it thru one
of my co-bloggers….apparently, the game goes like this :

5. i dont hav a problem if she boozes...unless the system is outta control.

6. Shud be a good listener n not a blabberstock.

7. I dont like reserved gals n partyphobics....she shud move with the society.

8. And finally she shud have a good struct....ny way tats wat every guy
demands.

Hi folks....

This is my second attempt to blog. The first one didnt interest me.
Some of my close friends claim to have improved their writing
skills after they started to blog.So i thought why not give it a
second shot!

This being my first post, lemme tell u guyz about ME......

tough task, but let me try.
I'm Tirunagari Srikanth.
Third-year graduate student in electronics, immense interest in
embedded systems. (No, I don't invent new chips; that's a lot of
work and most of 'em i try making dont work.) Classes and
projects don't leave me as much time as I'd like for relaxation and
hanging out with friends.

Left to my own devices, I'm not very adventurous, but I'll try
(almost) anything once, as long as I'm doing it with people I know
well.I talk straight but can be a bit sarcastic at times.....I don't
open up quickly but once i feel comfortable with someone, they
can see a drastic change in me.I'd like to say that i'm a good listener
and like simple minded people who talk straight. I love my friends
- can do anything for some. I love my family very much.

Well, Those were few things i could say about myself...but i'd rather
tell you what my friends think of me....
Well, i've got quite a few nick-names which i'm not gonna reveal..
"An undivided love and passion for Music and Soccer". If asked to
choose between the two, it makes me feel like having two wives and
trying to be loyal to both. Though this analogy was given by a
friend of mine, i'm glad to have taken the copyrights.

LOve a late-night trip to NESCAFE for a repast of ice-tea and
maggi. I dislike drugs and smoking. Prefer spicy, oriental food
(My mom makes the best!).

My most delightful moments include..lying in my bed and listening
to GOD SMACK- serenity, while chatting with my close friends.
"Comfortably numb"- my fav. song which u will hear me humming
if u'd listen silently. u'd find me lost into a completely different
world! Pressure has forced me to listen to more of rock and metal.

I'm kinda tension free..take what life gives kinda guy and dont often
complain..hoping to have fun every minute of my life...When in
hyderabad,you'll usually find me hanging out at various coffee
joints,with friends or to meet new people.

Though in brief, this post shows ME as i am.....
I am a real person..don't confine me to the limits of this page..I am
much more than just this...
